A Journal Feel with Linen Press

Linen Press mimics the materials of book publishing: undyed fabric, ink, muted teal, terracotta. The muted teal primary is the most distinctive choice on the page, and it gives the palette an identity that the standard navy or black primaries cannot. Terracotta sits opposite in temperature and handles the moments the teal must not, like errors and sale highlights.

For publishers, journals, and craft editorial sites the palette behaves well because none of its colors are shouting. The paper background and the ink text carry most of the page, and both accent colors are used at nearly equal weight to keep the two-tone identity balanced. Surface cards should add a border, because the paper tones are close in value.
