No Accounts

Font Blend has no login, signup, or password reset flow. You do not need an email address to use any tool. The site does not identify you across visits. If you clear your browser storage, the site has no way to recover your favorites.

No Server-Side Storage

There is no database behind this site. Font Blend is a static export. Pages are pre-rendered HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There is no API in the request path that writes your data to a server. The only outgoing network requests are to Google Fonts (for live previews) and, if ads are enabled, to an ad network.

Local Storage

Favorites, collections, and saved playground state are stored in your browser's localStorage under the prefix fontblend:v1:*. They never leave your device. You can export, import, or clear all of this data from the favorites page. Clearing your browser data also removes it.

No Analytics (by Default)

Font Blend does not run Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or any similar analytics tool by default. The site has no server-side logging of visitor activity beyond what a standard CDN logs (request time, path, status code, user agent) for operational purposes. If analytics is added in the future, it will be opt-in and disclosed on this page.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to serve advertising that keeps the tools free. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. The Google Ads privacy policy describes how Google handles ad data. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings or by visiting google.com/settings/ads. Ad scripts are lazy-loaded below the fold so they do not run in the first viewport, and visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland are asked for consent through a certified consent banner before any advertising cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time via the banner's manage-options control.

Separately from advertising, the site accepts voluntary reader contributions through a coffee link in the footer. Payments are processed by Gumroad under its own privacy policy; we receive no tracking data from contributions, and every tool remains free whether or not you contribute.

Uploaded Files

The font inspector reads local font files entirely in your browser using the FontFaceSet API. No file you select is uploaded to a server. If a future tool processes images (for example, a screenshot color extractor), it will read the file locally with the FileReader API and never transmit it.

What happens when I clear my browser data?

Your favorites, collections, and playground state are stored in localStorage under the fontblend:v1 namespace. Clearing browser data removes them. There is no server-side backup. Export anything you want to keep before clearing.

Does Font Blend use cookies?

Font Blend itself does not set cookies. Google Fonts may set cookies when your browser requests font files. Google AdSense sets advertising cookies to serve and personalize ads; see the Advertising section above for details and opt-out links.

Can I use Font Blend at work?

Yes. There are no usage restrictions. The site works offline after the first load. Your employer cannot see your favorites unless they have access to your device. Your IT department cannot see what you do on Font Blend unless they are monitoring your browser.

How do I clear my localStorage data?

Open the favorites page and use the clear function there, or clear your browser data for this site specifically. In Chrome, open DevTools, go to Application, Storage, and delete the fontblend:v1 entries. Similar steps apply in Firefox and Safari.

External Resources

Font previews load from Google Fonts via fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Your browser sends a standard request to those hosts when a preview renders. The Google privacy policy governs that exchange.
